Co-founder

In 1989, alongside her husband, Pastor Leah co-founded and pastored Faith Worship Center (FWC) in Pittsburg, California for 30 years (1989-2019), before Pastor Anthony transitioned to his eternal home in November, 2019.

During those years of ministry, she developed a strong and thriving children’s and youth ministry and managed the operation of the church.  As the years passed she discovered her love to serve and help.  Her focus started to shift in the direction of her community. She discovered great need and plenty of opportunities for ministry outside of the church building.

Locally, she began volunteering in local schools and found herself in classrooms of first graders, tutoring them in reading.  She fed and clothed the hungry and homeless. You could also find her delivering food to homes of local seniors.  She even took a group of high schoolers to Mexico on a mission’s trip to build homes.  Globally, God put Haiti on her heart and connected her with a local ministry there where He began to provide.

With the support of FWC, backpacks for students and school supplies for the classroom were provided.  Through the generosity of the church members, we helped with the completion of a school and were able to help purchase a van!  At Pastor Leah’s request, and without hesitation, a local sewing machine store donated used sewing machines that were sent to a center in Haiti where the women would be taught a skill to earn an income for their families.

During the past five years she has stepped into the role of Sr. Pastor at FWC.  With the support of the church leaders, she has navigated the transition with unwavering Faith. She has learned and relied on the supernatural strength of God that only He can provide.

In her free time you will find her reading the Bible, walking trails and tending to her container garden.  God has blessed her with two wonderful sons and three of the most precious grandchildren that she just can’t get enough of.
